Village Life

Commencing alongside Ruswarp Hall is the start of the ancient country path known
as 'The Monk's Trod'. It is a lovely walk of just over one mile into Whitby.

The beautiful river Esk, a few minutes stroll from the Hall winds gently around
Ruswarp boasting families of Ducks and Swans and it is a delightful spot for fishing.

There is nothing more enjoyable than to hire a pleasure boat or canoe and journey
up the river under a canopy of English Trees.

It is a one minute stroll to the popular 'Bridge Inn' traditional village pub and catch
up with the village news.

Next door we have Jackson's Family Butchers which has an excellent reputation
within the Whitby area and supplies most of our meat. Then there is the Post Office
and 'Ducks' family store which togwther provide a good range of provisions.
